Introducing Dr. Lambert

Dr. Kevin Lambert is a Texas licensed psychologist with a sincere passion for developing others and fostering healthier & happier relationships.  Dr. Lambert’s unique style of intervention has been described by clients as genuine, warm, respectful, innovative, fun, enlightening, and appropriately challenging.

Dr. Lambert’s clinical specialties include couples therapy; child & family therapy; personal & family life transitions (such as divorce & grief); identity & career development; and spirituality/faith issues. In addition to counseling, Dr. Lambert also enjoys providing executive & personal coaching, consultations, and a wide variety of dynamic workshops. 

Educational and Career Background

Dr. Lambert’s interest in the field of psychology began at the young age of 12 and never wavered. At the age of 16, Dr. Lambert began his path towards counseling by becoming a Peer Educator for Planned Parenthood of Decatur, IL.  Upon high school graduation, Dr. Lambert continued his pursuit of psychology at Illinois State University, where he earn a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in sociology in 1999. Dr. Lambert’s educational journey continued at Spalding University’s School of Professional Psychology, where he earned his M.A. & Psy.D. degrees in Clinical Psychology in 2003 & 2006. Dr. Lambert’s professional experience includes a pre-doctoral fellowship at Salesmanship Club Youth & Family Center, and an informal postdoctoral fellowship at Southern Methodist University’s Memorial Health Center followed by nearly 10 years as a senior staff member & supervisor. 

In Fall 2011, Dr. Lambert completed his MBA degree from SMU’s Cox School of Business where he was recognized as a Distinguished Business Leader and member of the Dean’s Circle. In January 2012, Dr. Lambert founded Lambert Psychology, PLLC, which has evolved into what is now known as Great Life Counseling Center. In addition to working on the development of his own organization, Dr. Lambert volunteered to serve on the board of directors for Galaxy Counseling Center for 3 years and the executive committee of the Dallas Psychological Association for 4 years.
